“Operation Resilient Families” is a family mental health program developed by NAMI-Texas serving active military, veterans, and their families. The program delivers mental health education and support to military service men and women and their families upon their return from Iraq and Afghanistan. Active Minds is a national non-profit organization, based in Washington D.C., which develops and supports student-run chapters at colleges and universities. They are the only organization currently working to utilize the student voice to change the conversation about mental health issues on college campuses.

“FSFMI is proud to host this luncheon to recognize the truly outstanding contribution made by our military service men and women. The hardships that so many of them and their families have had to endure as a result of combat-related stress, deserves more attention,” stated Jonathan Foxman, FSFMI Founder and Executive Director. He added, “FSFMI will continue to work to reduce the stigma around mental illness. We are extremely grateful for all of our guests and corporate sponsors who participated in the ‘Music for the Cause’ event, and helped to raise much needed funds for FSFMI. We are pleased to share these funds with organizations like NAMI and Active Minds that are making such a difference for this cause.”
