Wayne, PA – October 19, 2009—The Family Support Foundation for Mental Illness announces today the official launch of www.fsfmi.org, a website devoted to increasing awareness and understanding of mental illness issues, supporting legislation that benefits those suffering from mental illness and their families, and fundraising and events that help support qualifying families with significant unreimbursed mental healthcare expenses and other non-profit organizations that have been strong and effective leaders on issues consistent with the Foundation's mission.<<Read More>>
The Family Support Foundation for Mental Illness Raises Over $50,000 for the 2009 NAMI Montana Walk
Wayne, PA, September 29,2009 – The Family Support Foundation for Mental Illness, and Cellular One joined a group of over 1,300 walkers to support to the 2009 MT NAMI Walk. They raised over $50,000 dollars to help NAMI MT toward its critical mission of supporting, educating, and advocating for Montanans with severe mental illnesses and their families. Over $110,000 was raised at the event.

The Family Support Foundation sponsors NAMI Billings 2009 Annual Bike Ride
Wayne, PA, August 10, 2009 – The Family Support Foundation for Mental Illness (FSFMI) was proud to be a Gold sponsor at the 2009 NAMI Billings Bike Ride. FSFMI had six riders participate in the event, and an additional eight volunteers came out to help NAMI Billings raise much –needed funds to support programs that raise awareness about mental illnesses.

Donation Ceremony for NAMI- Montana and the Meghann Eckerdt Family to Take Place June 30th in Billings
Wayne, PA, June 23, 2009 – On June 30, 2009, the Family Support Foundation for Mental Illness (FSFMI), sponsored by Cellular One, will hold a donation ceremony to formally give over $50,000 in funds raised for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Montana and local Billings residents the Meghann Eckerdt family. The donation ceremony will take place in the Billings Cellular One store at 2455 Central Avenue from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Billings Community Comes Out to Join Cellular One and the Family Support Foundation in Supporting NAMI-Montana and the Meghann Eckerdt Family

Billings, MT – October 2008 – Mental illness is a disease that does not discriminate based on age, race, religion or income. Defined as a medical condition that disrupts a person’s thinking, feeling, mood, ability to relate to others and daily functioning, mental illness affects one in four adults in America. Although treatable, less than one-third of adults and half of children with a diagnosable mental disorder receive any mental health services in a given year.
